With more than two decades of experience in health care, manufacturing and service organizations, Kathryn Kendall, Principal, VRAI Transformation, combines a senior executive’s command of the broad issues confronting businesses with an intimate understanding of the day-to-day challenges facing leaders as they strive for continuous improvement and best practices.
Kendall has provided strategic counsel to senior executives throughout the United States and Canada on topics ranging from operations improvements and resource limitations to new business development and market pressures. At the same time, she has offered her expertise in authentic practices, creating sustainable businesses and working with the Baldrige National Quality Award criteria. She is proficient at visionary leadership, customer-focused excellence, managing for innovation and by fact. She values social responsibility and community involvement. She has a keen systems perspective while focusing on results and creating value in the Triple Bottom Line.
Prior to joining VRAI Transformation, she was Vice President at a Fortune 30 company that assisted healthcare institutions in utilizing resources in optimization, clinical performance and economic expansion. Kendall was the Co-founder and Executive Vice President of an Internet-enabled company that was purchased in 2002. Earlier in her career, she directed consulting services at a biotech company, served as General Manager of the Mayo Clinic’s Tri-State Laboratory Network, General Manager of the nation’s largest healthcare consulting firm, and held positions in marketing, sales and strategic development with several Fortune 100 companies.
Kendall received an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine from Northern Illinois University. Kendall is currently serving on the 2008 Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. She is certified as a William Bridges’ Change Management Consultant. Kendall is a member of the American Association of Healthcare Consultants, American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society of Quality.
